The Zavala County Sheriff’s Office said Geoffrey Moncada of Crystal City was arrested on Friday and charged with terroristic threat.
ZAVALA COUNTY, Texas — A Zavala County man is behind bars, accused of making threats targeting a school.
Investigators say Geoffrey Moncada of Crystal City called a local business and threatened to “shoot” a school campus and plant explosive devices.
The Zavala County Sheriff’s Office says their criminal investigations division worked with state and federal partners to quickly track down the source of that call.
Moncada was arrested on Friday without incident and is now charged with terroristic threat, a third-degree felony.
Deputies also searched his home but said no weapons or explosives were found.
The sheriff’s office did not release the name of the school.
