Man critically injured after confrontation leads to shooting in southeast San Antonio, police say

No arrests have been made at this time, according to SAPD.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said an altercation turned violent after a man was shot in the chest on the city’s southeast side early Saturday morning.

According to investigators, it appears a man was walking near Baldwin Avenue and South Pine Street just after 3 a.m. when an unknown vehicle pulled up and some type of altercation took place.

Police believe the man walking pulled a gun and shot the victim in the chest before taking off in the car.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Officials say no arrests have been made at this time.
