Man critically injured in stabbing on West Avenue, police say

Authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was found with life-threatening injuries late Saturday night.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is in critical condition after a stabbing late Saturday night on San Antonio’s north side.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 10:17 p.m. to the 11000 block of West Avenue near Lockhill Selma Road for a reported cutting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man with stab wounds to his torso.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the victim was unable to provide details about what led up to the incident due to the severity of his injuries. No suspects have been identified or arrested at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing.
