Man cut during domestic dispute on southwest side, SAPD says

Investigators say the suspect became upset after discovering something on the man’s phone, which led to an argument.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a man was cut during a domestic dispute early Saturday morning on the southwest side of San Antonio.

Officers were called to a reported cutting in the 13000 block of Watson Road around 3:33 a.m., according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Police say the 37-year-old complainant told officers he had been in a dating relationship with the suspect, a 28-year-old woman, and that the two share several children. Investigators say the suspect became upset after discovering something on the man’s phone, which led to an argument.

According to the victim, the suspect allegedly began swinging a steak knife aggressively at him and near his face. Police say the man was cut on the side of his face during the incident.

The victim’s injuries were described as minor and not life-threatening.

No additional details were immediately released. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and information is subject to change.
