Man dead after being shot multiple times by ‘known acquaintance;’ suspect on the run

Witnesses say they saw the female suspect leaving in a vehicle, which was later found off Highway 281 near Wurzbach Parkway.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is now dead, and the alleged shooter is still on the run, police say.

SAPD arrived at the 4000 block of Naco Perrin around 9:40 p.m. Friday night for a shooting in progress.

Once there, they found a 37-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds at the location. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say the man and a woman in her mid-30’s had “previous disturbances” and are acquaintances.

For an unknown reason, the woman allegedly approached the location and started shooting towards the man in the rear of the building. Trying to get away from the woman, the man fled inside the building.

Police say the woman then pursued the man, shooting multiple more rounds as they both climbed up the stairs.

The man then collapsed in the upstairs hallways after being shot multiple times, eventually dying at the location.

Witnesses say they saw the woman exit the rear door of the property before leaving in a vehicle, which was later found off Highway 281 near Wurzbach Parkway.

Her vehicle found, the suspect has yet to be located at this time.

This is a developing situation and KENS 5 will continue to update this article as we learn more.
