Man dead after being struck by train on northeast side, SAFD says

Police said there is no evidence of foul play.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was hit and killed by a train on the northeast side Monday morning, according to San Antonio authorities. 

San Antonio emergency crews responded to a train accident involving a pedestrian near NE Loop 410 and Wetmore Road around 9 a.m.  

Officials said the train conductor saw a man walking on the tracks as the train was nearing. The conductor blew the horn to warn the man but the man did not get out of the way. 

The man was struck by the train and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police said there is no evidence of foul play. 

The train accident remains under investigation.
