Man dead after possible vehicle strike in south San Antonio, police say

Police said officers located the male victim in the roadway who appeared to have severe head trauma.

SAN ANTONIO — A man died after police said he was possibly struck by a vehicle on San Antonio’s south side Friday evening.

According to SAPD, officers were dispatched around 7:24 p.m. to the intersection of West Harding Boulevard and Commercial Avenue, where they located the male victim in the roadway who appeared to have severe head trauma.

Preliminary information indicates he may have been struck by a vehicle, though investigators say the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say no suspect information is available at this time.

SAPD said the investigation is ongoing and details are subject to change.
