The 44-year-old man was working underneath the vehicle when officials say the jack slipped, causing the vehicle to land on him.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department says a man has died after a vehicle he was working on fell on him.
Around 1 p.m., officials responded to the 800 block of South Mittman Street after receiving reports of a major accident involving a 44-year-old male and a vehicle that he was working on.
Preliminary information from SAFD suggests the man was working underneath the vehicle when the jack slipped, causing the vehicle to land on him.
Upon arrival, officers and SAFD attempted to assist in getting the vehicle off the trapped individual.
SAFD said life-saving measure were performed on the victim before he unfortunately died.
