Man dead following shooting on northwest side, police say

SAPD has two people detained in connection to the shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — A man has died after being shot on the northwest side of town area early Tuesday in what police say is a possible domestic disturbance.

It happened around 8:15 a.m. in the 3600 block of Fredericksburg Road near Vance Jackson Road.

Police say the suspect drove up to the Starlite Motel, where his ex and her partner were staying with two kids. He began arguing with the couple, then pulled out a weapon and shot the victim, a man in his 40s.

Both the ex and her partner have been detained in connection to the shooting.

This is a developing story.
