SAN ANTONIO — A man is in critical condition after being pulled from a burning home by firefighters early Wednesday morning.
San Antonio firefighters responded to the 1600 block of San Angelo Boulevard, near El Monte Boulevard, around 4:30 a.m. for reports of a fire.
When firefighters arrived, they rescued one man from inside the burning home. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters are still working on some hot spots but the bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly.
Officials estimate the damages to be around $20,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
