Man dies after being shot, left in ditch, SAPD says

The 36-year-old man had been shot multiple times, according to police.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are trying to figure out who shot a man and left him in a ditch near South Flores Street on the southside.

San Antonio Police responded to the intersection of East Vestal Place and Chaucer Avenue around 10:42 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers got there, they found a 36-year-old man in a ditch that had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Investigators say the man was trying to sell a firearm to some men, but ended up getting shot.

Officer’s were able to locate and detain the listed three suspects, two 18-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy.

Police are continuing their investigation.
