The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office said 30-year-old Tyler Wright is accused of driving his vehicle into Bradley’s Food Mart in Floresville and stealing merchandise.
WILSON COUNTY, Texas — A man is behind bars after deputies say he drove a vehicle into a business and then attempted to steal items from inside, according to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Tyler Wright following an incident that happened just after midnight Tuesday at Bradley’s Food Mart at the intersection of FM roads 1303 and 2579.
According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, a witness called deputies reporting that Wright drove a vehicle into the business after hours and was stealing merchandise.
When deputies arrived, no one was at the store. Authorities said they later found the vehicle abandoned in the area and confirmed the business had been broken into.
Deputies said Wright was eventually found hiding inside the store.
Investigators also determined the vehicle Wright was found in had been reported stolen out of Bexar County the previous day.
Wright is now facing charges of burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Deputies said he is also considered a person of interest in additional crimes and that more charges are expected.
He is being held in the Wilson County Jail on a $20,000 bond, according to officials.
