SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man is facing federal charges for his alleged role in two armored truck robberies.

Officials say the robberies happened in 2023 and involved three other men who are already in custody.

Achanti Christopher Tyrese Gunn, 25, was arrested for allegedly robbing armored trucks at gunpoint and stealing money before driving off.

According to the Department of Justice, Gunn was indicted on May 7 and was arrested Sunday night.

He has charges for conspiracy and armed truck robbery. These charges can equal up to 20 years in prison.

Gunn also has a firearms charge that can give him seven years to life in prison.

Gunn’s codefendants Daquwuan Reshay Richardson, Jeremiah Jerome Richardson, and Jordan Raekwon Jones were arrested in the last two years, and are facing similar charges.

While the feds have not shared where these crimes happened we did have several armored car robberies in 2023.

One happened on May 23 in front of a Walgreens on Goliad Road on the southeast side.

Police say four armed men ambushed the woman driving the truck, hit her in the head with a gun and ran off with the money.

There has not been an update on the suspects involved.

ATF and SAPD are still investigating this case until it makes its way to federal court.
