Police are still looking for suspects in Tuesday’s drive-by shooting near Alamo Ranch.
SAN ANTONIO — The man shot while leaving a San Antonio restaurant where he had dined with his family moments before has been identified by county officials.
The medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Jarod Douglas Turner. Authorities said the 28-year-old was shot multiple times in a drive-by attack shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Loop 1604 and Culebra.
He later died after being taken to a hospital.
Police have yet to announce any arrests, and haven’t shared information about a possible motive as their investigation continues. But they believe it was a targeted shooting.
“The vehicle fled right after the shooting,” an SAPD sergeant at the scene said. “There’s no evidence of any kind of disturbance inside before this happened.”
Turner was with family, police added, but no one else was injured. A preliminary police report said he was hit “at least three times” before succumbing to his injuries.
