
Police said a man was found dead with gunshot wounds on the city’s west side Saturday morning as officers responded to calls for gunfire in the area.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was found dead inside a vehicle after a reported shooting early Saturday morning on the city’s west side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
San Antonio police said officers were dispatched around 4:13 a.m. to the 10000 block of Tiger Field after receiving multiple calls about shots fired in the area.
When officers arrived, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to SAPD. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said investigators observed multiple bullet holes in the vehicle as well as in a nearby residence. Officials said it is not yet known what led up to the shooting.
No suspect information was immediately available.
The San Antonio Police Department said the investigation remains active and ongoing and details are subject to change as detectives continue to gather information.
