Man found dead in vehicle on southwest side; SAPD investigating as homicide

According to officials, the man was at work and not feeling well before he left. He was later found dead.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in a car on the southwest side Wednesday morning.

Around 11:20 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Airlift Drive after receiving reports of a possible death, according to authorities. Upon arrival, an SAPD spokesperson confirmed an unidentified man in his early 40s was found dead.

EMS attempted to render medical aid, but police said it was too late.

Investigators believe the man was at work Wednesday morning where he said he wasn’t feeling well and left to see a doctor. Shortly after, SAPD said, security checking the area located him in the car.

At this time, investigators say there is no sign of foul play. But they are investigating the death as a homicide in order to collect proper evidence.

This is a developing story.
