Man found lying in street, injured after hit-and-run on southwest side, San Antonio police say

Police are currently working to get a description of the suspect vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — While traveling on the southwest side of San Antonio, a driver found a man lying in the middle of the street with serious injuries early Friday morning and alerted emergency responders, authorities said. 

Police said a passing driver was rounding the corner of Medina Base Road and Loop 410 around 1 a.m. and saw the man in the street injured from an apparent hit-and-run. The driver pulled over and immediately called for help. 

According to SAPD, the victim sustained serious head injuries and a broken leg, he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. 

Police are currently working to get a description of the vehicle that hit the man.
