Man hit by 2 vehicles while attempting to cross west-side highway, SAPD says

Police said the two drivers involved stopped to call for help and neither are expected to face any charges.

SAN ANTONIO — A 19-year-old man was killed early Thursday after he was struck by multiple vehicles while attempting to cross a highway on the city’s west side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

SAPD said the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. along U.S. Highway 90 near Gunsmoke Drive. The man was trying to cross the main lanes when he was hit by at least two vehicles, police said.

Officials said both drivers involved stopped and called for help. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said no charges are expected to be filed in the case.

The investigation remains ongoing.
