
Police say a confrontation turned violent after a group was confronted outside a property.
SAN ANTONIO — A late-night confrontation in the Monte Vista area turned violent after a man was struck in the head with a brick, police say.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 2:51 a.m. Saturday to the 500 block of East Magnolia Avenue, just north of downtown.
Investigators say a 37-year-old man approached a group of men he saw outside a property. Police say the group began fighting with him.
During the altercation, one of the suspects struck the man in the back of the head with a brick, causing a laceration.
Authorities say the group then fled the scene in a black Chevy pickup truck.
The victim’s condition has not been released.
Police say the case remains under active investigation, and details may change as detectives continue to gather information.
