SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating a cutting that followed a reported family disturbance on the east side of San Antonio early Monday morning.
The incident happened around 3:20 a.m. in the 500 block of Gembler Road, near Frost Bank Center Drive.
According to a sergeant with the San Antonio Police Department, officers were initially called to the scene for a family disturbance. The situation escalated, and a man in his 20s was cut across the chest by a woman in her mid-40s during an argument.
Police say the dispute was over ending a relationship.
The man was transported to BAMC with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The woman was detained by police at the scene.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
The San Antonio Fire Department, SAPD, and EMS all responded.
