Man hospitalized after shooting near former Lone Star Brewery, SAPD says

When officers arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — A 34-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a shooting Tuesday night near the former Lone Star Brewery, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Lone Star Boulevard around 8:40 p.m. after reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that police say are not life-threatening.

Earlier, the San Antonio Fire Department said the victim was in critical condition, but police later clarified his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators said the man became uncooperative when asked for information about a possible suspect. No arrests have been announced.
