
Police say a man was shot and injured during an attempted robbery while trying to sell property on Buena Vista Street.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was injured in an aggravated robbery that turned violent Saturday afternoon on the city’s west side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the 3000 block of Buena Vista Street around 2:15 p.m. for a reported shooting in progress.
When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper extremities and a laceration to his head.
The victim told officers he was trying to sell property to the suspect when the suspect attempted to take the items without paying. Police said the suspect pistol-whipped the victim, and during a struggle, the victim was shot.
The suspect fled on foot with the victim’s property before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
