SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department confirmed that a man has been hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a train on the northeast side.
Around 1 p.m., officials said a Union Pacific train struck and injured a man near the intersection of Walzem and Gibbs Sprawl roads.
SAPD said the man could’ve possibly been “suicidal, intoxicated or mentally ill” and got too close to the tracks and received injuries to his right arm arm and head.
