Man in custody after police say he shot three people in head at west-side apartment

Police say the man has connections to all three of the victims. One of the victims has died, according to the ME.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is in custody, accused of shooting three people in the head at an apartment on the west side of San Antonio, then taking off with his three other children, police say.

All three of the victims were allegedly connected to the shooter, including his own child.

The alleged shooter has now been arrested and most importantly, the children police say he took off with are now safe.

This happened on the far west side near Lackland Terrace around 11 p.m. Sunday night.

According to police, the man shot the mother of his children, his girlfriend, and his oldest son in the head.

All three victims were taken to University Hospital in critical condition. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Medical Examiner.

The suspect then took off in a pickup truck with his three other children, but was caught a short time later.

We’re still working to confirm what sparked the violence in the first place.

Right now, the man is likely facing charges of aggravated assault for the shooting, but that could change depending on the condition of the three victims.

This is still a developing story.
