SAN ANTONIO — A man was injured after shots were fired into a vehicle early Saturday morning on the city’s northeast side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
SAPD said the shooting happened around 12:14 a.m. in the 10000 block of Hillpoint Drive. The 25-year-old man was a passenger in a vehicle parked outside the location when gunfire erupted from the parking lot, investigators said.
At least two shots struck the vehicle, hitting the passenger in a lower extremity, according to SAPD. The driver immediately drove away from the scene and headed toward officers for help.
San Antonio police said the injured man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspects or motive have been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
