
A 24-year-old man suffered a minor injury after being shot during an apparent road rage incident on NW Loop 410, according to San Antonio police.
SAN ANTONIO — A 24-year-old man was injured in an apparent road rage shooting Monday afternoon on the northwest side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the 6400 block of NW Loop 410 around 4:21 p.m. for a report of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say the victim approached an officer who was already conducting a traffic stop in the area and reported what had just happened.
According to the victim, he had been driving when he cut off a red van driven by another man. He told officers the driver of the van stared at him and that he saw the suspect holding a black handgun.
Moments later, the victim said he heard a single gunshot and began to feel pain in his upper body.
Police say the man suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene. He was not taken to the hospital.
The suspect, described only as a white male driving a red van, was not located. The case remains under investigation.
