A man was hospitalized after being shot while walking along Royal View Drive on San Antonio’s east side late Saturday night, police said.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was taken to the hospital after being shot late Saturday night on San Antonio’s east side, according to police.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Royal View Drive near East Houston Street around 10:13 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
A patrol officer at the scene said the man was walking down the street when he was shot. He was taken to the hospital, though his condition has not been released.
Police said there is no suspect information at this time, and it’s still unclear what led up to the shooting.
Night detectives with SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to investigate.
San Antonio police, the San Antonio Fire Department, EMS and Crime Scene Investigators were all at the scene.
