
The victim was found underneath his car in critical condition, but he died at the scene.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed after he crashed his car into a fence on the northside of town early Sunday monring.
San Antonio Police officers responded to the 800 block of Briarcliff Drive near Blanco Road around 2:28 a.m. for reports of a single-car accident.
When police arrived, they found a driver had lost control and crashed into a fence. The car caught fire immediately following.
When crews arrived at the scene, initially they believed nobody was in the vehicle. While working to extinguish the flames, they saw the victim had been pinned underneath his vehicle. They performed life-saving measures, but unfortunatley, he died at the scene.
Investigators are not sure what caused the man to crash. The victim’s identity was not provided.
