SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed while he was crossing the street by a hit and run driver, police say.

San Antonio police were called out to 1500 East Commerce at South Hackberry around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the victim, a man in his 50s. Officials believe it was a driver in an SUV that struck the man. That driver did not stop to render aid.
