San Antonio police are searching for a driver after a man in his 30s was killed in a hit-and-run early Tuesday at the Astra Apartments on West Avenue.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a man early Tuesday morning.
According to an SAPD sergeant, officers were called around 1:23 a.m. to the Astra Apartments parking lot in the 11845 block of West Avenue, north of downtown.
Police said a man in his 30s was struck by a vehicle and taken to University Hospital in critical condition, where he died from his injuries.
A witness at a gas station across the street told officers she heard yelling followed by a loud thump. She then saw a white pickup truck speeding away, according to the report.
The Traffic Investigation Detail was called out to investigate the crash.
No additional information about the suspect vehicle or driver has been released. The case remains under investigation.
