
According to police, one person has been arrested, and no students were involved in the shooting.
FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police say a man was shot and killed Thursday night in the parking lot of Frisco High School following what investigators believe was a road rage incident.
Officers were called to the school, located at 6401 Parkwood Boulevard, around 8:30 p.m. after reports of gunfire, according to a news release from the Frisco Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police said officers and Frisco Fire Department medics began life-saving measures before taking the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Robert Taylor of Plano.
Police said the suspect, 45-year-old Jason Bartik of Celina, was detained at the scene. Following an investigation, detectives arrested Bartik and charged him with murder, the release states.
Frisco PD emphasized that the incident did not involve any students and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
“The incident did not involve students, and the police were quick to respond,” Frisco ISD said in a statement.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
