
A man in his 20s was fatally shot early Tuesday morning. Police are investigating multiple suspects who fled, urging public assistance.
SAN ANTONIO — A man in his 20s is dead after an early morning shooting on the city’s north-side, according to San Antonio police.
The shooting was reported around 2:19 a.m. in the 500 block of Carmel Place, where officers received multiple 911 calls about gunfire in the area. Police say the final call reported a man lying in the street next to a BMW.
When officers arrived, they found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, according police.
Investigators say several suspects fled the scene on foot before police arrived. Detectives are now working to determine what led to the shooting and who was involved.
