Deputies in San Antonio are investigating a fatal road rage shooting on Highway 181 Friday afternoon.
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — San Antonio deputies are investigating after someone died in a shooting related to road rage on the southeast side.
The shooting took place around 1:13 p.m. at Highway 181, near the intersection with Loop 1604, on the far southeast side of town.
Sheriff Javier Salazar says the shooting began as a road rage incident that ended in tragedy. A driver pulled over near a gas station and a truck pulled up beside him. Salazar says someone in the truck got out on foot and fired at the first driver.
An SAPD officer who was off duty at the time pulled up to the scene and administered first aid, however the victim died on scene.
BCSO says the suspect or suspects have not been arrested yet. They are still investigating.
