SAN ANTONIO — A 60-year-old Canyon Lake man was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Comal County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS says troopers responded around 8:20 a.m. to the crash on State Highway 46 near South Cranes Mill Road. Investigators say a 2016 red Dodge Ram pickup was traveling westbound when it left the roadway, struck a fence and a telephone pole and rolled onto its passenger side.
The driver and sole occupant, identified by DPS as David James Bailey, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said next of kin have been notified.
DPS said the roadway remained open while troopers investigated the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details were immediately available.
