According to investigators, a man shot his mother before killing himself at a motel on FM 1960 on Wednesday.
HOUSTON — A man and his mother died in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide in northwest Houston.
It happened along FM 1960 near SH 249. According to Houston police, the man, 54, and his mother, 71, were found dead in a motel room a little before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators said they believe the man shot and killed his mother before shooting and killing himself.
Air 11 video from the scene showed investigators going in and out of the room.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but Houston police said they had been staying at the extended stay motel for about three years.
