Man loses control of his cart, hit by an SUV, police say

The driver of the SUV did stop to render aid to the victim.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say a man was injured after losing control of his cart and getting hit by an SUV on the northwest side of town late Tuesday evening.

San Antonio Police responded to Old Tezel Road at Guilbeau Road around 9:07 p.m. for reports of a man getting hit by a vehicle.

When officers arrived they found the 62-year-old man with non life-threatening injuries. He was taken to University Hospital.

An SAPD patrol officer said that the victim lost control of his cart and was hit by a vehicle while he was heading east on Guilbeau Rd just after the intersection of Old Tezel Rd. 

The driver of the SUV did stop to render aid. They are not expected to be facing any charges.

The accident remains under investigation.
