Man sentenced to life for 2022 capital murder of his mother, attempted murder of stepfather in San Antonio

In July 2022, Frank Falcon was served eviction papers on behalf of his mother over financial issues with the house. Later that night, she was murdered in her sleep.

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of the capital murder of his mother, Linda Webster, and the attempted murder of his stepfather, Mark Webster.

On July 14, 2022, records show Frank DeLeon Falcon was served eviction papers on behalf of his mother, Linda Webster, after she discovered property taxes had not been paid on her house, violating their rental agreement.

Later that night, officials say Falcon obtained a key from his son to the Webster’s home, where he shot and killed Linda in her sleep. Falcon also fired a shot at Mark but the bullet grazed his head and he survived.

Facts surrounding the case were later confirmed by Falcon’s sister, who claimed to be under the covers as she witnessed her grandmother being shot.

“Justice demanded a verdict that truly reflected the loss and trauma inflicted upon this family, and we are grateful the jury agreed with our pursuit of accountability,” Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales said. ” We hope today’s outcome brings some measure of peace to those impacted by this horrible tragedy.”

Falcon was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the capital murder of his mother, and the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the attempted murder of his stepfather.
