Authorities are still investigating the intent of the shooting.
SAN ANTONIO — A man shot himself in the face while in the parking lot of a west-side H-E-B Tuesday morning, authorities say.
San Antonio police responded to the 2100 block of Culebra Road around 11:30 a.m.
Police say a 22-year-old man was putting groceries into a vehicle, while his mother was in the car, when a gun went off.
Authorities say the man sustained a gunshot wound to the face and say it was self-inflicted. The wound was non-life threatening.
Police say they are unsure if the gun was owned by the man or what the intent was.
Authorities are still investigating.
