
Police say the man opened his door to two women sitting in a silver vehicle outside the complex, who then shot him twice in the leg before driving away.
SAN ANTONIO — A man in his 50s was taken to the hospital after being shot early Wednesday morning at an apartment complex on the city’s northeast side, according to San Antonio police.
The shooting happened around 5:42 a.m. in the 2300 block of NE Loop 410 near Starcrest Drive at the Salado Creek Villas Apartments.
Police say the man opened his door to two women sitting in a silver vehicle outside the complex. Investigators say the women shot him twice in the leg before driving away.
Despite his injuries, officers say the man used a belt as a tourniquet and walked to nearby neighbors to get help.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
The two suspects were last seen driving away in the silver car and remain at large. Police say the victim provided limited information about the suspects.
