
Officials said the 61-year-old woman was detained at the scene and booked on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot during a domestic disturbance on the southeast side early Saturday morning, according to San Antonio police.
SAPD said officers were called around 1:45 a.m. to a residence on the 400 block of Avondale Avenue for a report of a shooting-in-progress. When officers arrived, they discovered a 53-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound.
According to investigators, the man’s girlfriend told officers at the scene that she shot him. Police said it is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting.
The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
