SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a man who was shot dead at a home on the city’s south side Sunday night was a former “King of the Hill” voice actor.
Jonathan Joss, 59, was killed in the shooting, police and neighbors said. Joss appeared as John Redcorn in the animated series.
SAPD said at around 7:02 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Dorsey Drive for a shooting in progress.
Upon arrival, police said they found a man who had been shot multiple times. Emergency crews performed life-saving measures, but officials said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said investigators received reports of a suspect’s vehicle and the direction in which they fled.
Officers apprehended a suspect about a block away, according to officials. The suspect has been identified as Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 59.
Alvarez was taken to Bexar County jail with a $200,000 bond.
SAPD said they are speaking with witnesses to find out exactly what happened.
