SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot multiple times during a fight outside of a bar across the street from North Star Mall, police say.
San Antonio Police officers responded to Slacker’s Sports Bar on the 100 block of West Rector Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of a shooting in progress.
According to police, the victim was shot at least three times in the front parking lot of the bar after an altercation in the front parking lot. Witnesses told police they heard the gunfire, then saw a light-colored car drive off. He was taken to BAMC in critical condition, with gunshot wounds to his wrist, shoulder and groin.
The victim was going in and out of consciousness before he was transported, so he had a hard time telling police what happened due to his injuries.
Police say the victim’s foot may have also been run over as the suspect was driving away in their vehicle.
At this time, investigators are still trying to figure out all of the details of this shooting. Police are unsure if the suspect fired their weapon from inside or outside of the vehicle as it was fleeing from the scene.
No description was available for the suspect responsible. Police say more than seven shell casing have been found on the scene so far.
Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
The shooting remains under investigation.
