
The victim was hit in the chest after a drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning, officials say.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is recovering after a drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning on San Antonio’s northeast side.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the shooting happened around 4:07 a.m. near a Taco Bell in the 4100 block of Naco Perrin Boulevard.
Police say a man in his 40s and a woman were walking along Perrin Beitel after going through a nearby dumpster when someone in a dark-colored SUV drove by and fired a shot.
The man was struck in the right side of his chest.
The woman called for help as the vehicle fled the scene toward Wurzbach Parkway.
The victim was transported to BAMC in stable condition.
SAPD, along with the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, responded to the scene.
No suspects have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
