SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot in the face multiple times while at a red light early Tuesday morning on the north-east side.
At around 2 a.m. San Antonio Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress near Loop 410 at the Perrin Beitel exit.
A blue sedan was at a red light when another vehicle pulled up and fired 7 rounds into the sedan and then drove off, according to police.
The victim drove to a nearby gas station and called for help.
The sedan had a female passenger, while the driver was a male, who had been shot in the face more than once.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The female passenger was not injured.
Officials say the female passenger is cooperating and told police she danced with an ex-boyfriend at the Cowboys Dancehall nearby. She isn’t saying that the shooting it related but thought that it was important to mention to police.
Police were unable to get a good description of the shooters vehicle.
No arrests have been made.
