Man stabbed in chest facing life-threatening injury, police say

A man is critically injured after a stabbing on Vera Cruz, police say. The suspect fled on a bicycle, and the investigation is ongoing.

SAN ANTONIO — A man stabbed in the chest late Wednesday night on the west side is now fighting for his life, police say

The stabbing happened around 10:30 p.m. on Vera Cruz on the west side. 

Police say an argument between two men led to one of them pulling out a knife and stabbing the other in the chest . The victim was taken to BAMC with life-threatening injuries. 

The other man took off on a bicycle. Police say they do know who the suspect is, but no arrests have yet been made. 

Police say this is still an ongoing investigation.
