
The victim was transported to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries and a suspect is believed to have been apprehended, according to police.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police said officers were dispatched to a call for a cutting in progress in the south-side where one person was reportedly stabbed in the neck Monday afternoon.
SAPD said two men got into an argument that turned physical in the parking lot outside a La Michoacana store on the 2300 block of SW Military Drive when one of the men pulled a knife, stabbing the victim in the neck area.
The suspect fled from the scene, according to police. An SAPD spokesperson said he is believed to have been apprehended near I-35 and Rayburn Drive shortly after officers spoke to witnesses and followed in the direction in which he reportedly fled.
Police said the victim was transported to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was also hospitalized with an elevated heart rate.
No word on the suspect’s identity at this time. Police said a weapon has not yet been recovered.
