
Police say a suspect was trying to get away from them when he ran into the victim’s back yard and stabbed him.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed by a suspect trying to get away from police on the city’s north side near Olmos Park late Saturday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. on the 300 block of West Wildwood Drive near San Pedro Avenue.
Investigators tell us the suspect was involved in a separate assault a couple blocks away when he ran from police.
Durig the chase, police say the suspect randomly ran into the victim’s back yard and then stabbed him.
The victim was taken to the hospital.
Police were able to track down the suspect later and took him into custody.
No other injuries reported.
