Man stabbed multiple times during fight with family member on west side, police say

The victim was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A late-night family fight ends with a man stabbed on San Antonio’s west side, according to police.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday on the 2500 block of Gunsmoke Street, a few blocks from Highway 90.

Police say a 33-year-old man was attacked by a family member with a knife during a backyard fight.

The man was rushed to University Hospital with multiple stab wounds to the right side of his face, including his eye, ear and also his forearm.

Police say the suspect was detained at the home.
