Man stabbed outside Extended Stay America on north side, police say

After being stabbed, the man went inside the hotel and asked the clerk to call for help.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for the suspect who stabbed a man outside of an extended stay motel on the north side of town.

Police aren’t really sure at this point what led up to the stabbing that happened early Wednesday morning around midnight in the 21100 block of Encino Commons.

After being stabbed, the man went inside the hotel and asked the clerk to call for help.

The victim was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect may have been a guest at Extended Stay America. Officers say the suspect drove away in a Jeep Patriot following the attack.

Police are looking for the suspect, but didn’t provide a description of him or further details about the Jeep he drove off in.

Those in the area, say the man who was stabbed was possibly homeless.
