Man standing in street hit by driver who did not stop, police say

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. At last check, he was in stable condition.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say a man that was standing in the street around midnight was hit by a driver who did not stop to help.

It happened around 12 a.m. in the 100 block of King Avenue near Somerset Road on the southwest side of town.

The 29-year-old man was in the street when a black vehicle traveling east on King Avenue struck him. The driver did not stop to render aid and instead fled the crash scene. 

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. At last check, he was in stable condition. 

Police say that when they find them, that driver of the black vehicle will be charged with Collision Involving Injury.
